Re: Blyton Bash: queries answered here!

    Shane,

Plenty of time mate, still 25 places left unfilled, dependent on what lands on our doormat tomorrow, plus another five extra flyers posted out to members that had misplaced theirs.

Re your friend, it's an OC event, underwritten by the OC so open to OC Members only, however; Membership 33(ish) quid for the first year, weekend ticket £100, so in effect £130 for the weekend of track, auto-test, free camping, party, bar, many and varied stands etc etc. All this and still cheaper than most one-day trackdays so a bargain in itself Big Smile

We've hired MoT to run the track-side action for us but it's an OC event so his MoT voucher won't work I'm afraid.

    Just a thought...

     Only me, again!!

So, I have fired an email explaining this to him, but things being tight as a tight thing I will see. Is there any issue of him turning up for the spectator side of things & the fun and disorder on the Saturday night, & helping out with the record attempt on the Sunday.

BTW, would my track pass, (Saturday only if I get it), cover me for the autotest side as well, or does it have to be a full weekend pass.

    Cheers again, Shane

We're keen on showing off the Club for what it is: a group of like minded folk who all enjoy the marque. Of course he's welcome, and can part with a tenner on the day to be a passenger in your car. WR attempt; I'll have no way of telling who is and isn't a Club member, but as I guess we're trying to beat the record...currently held by 'ze Germans'...so the more cars to help us beat our old rivals (I mean that in a non-confrontational way clearly, don't mention the war Wink ) the better!!!

Our good friend Iain F will be at the event with the Club shop and he'll have these (in a slightly smaller size to aid fitting in an envelope!) with him, they're so new I don't think he has a price for them yet!!!

Can I just check: my dad and I are both attending (as paid-up club members) with our own cars. My uncle is hoping to come along as a +1 driver. Will he need to take out membership before the event - even though he's not an MX-5 owner and isn't bringing his own vehicle?

    Masaq,

You'll be fine. The main thing is that the car owners are Club members, if those members are then happy to lend their cars out then that is upto them.

Wristbands will be going out as soon as I've printed off the hog-roast vouchers so not long now...

    Thumbs up

Hi there, looking for a silly question? I feel this is one.

We plan on coming for the world record attempt on the Sunday but not racing as our old girl really isn't up to all that rushing around! Do we need to purchase a wristband or just turn up with the car, watch whats going on and then join in with the parade. If so what time would we need to get there for?

    Thanks as always,

    Noel and Nat.

The record attempt is taking place after the morning session ends

So about lunchtime onwards would be plenty and earlier if you want to see the loonies going around

Re: Blyton Bash: queries answered here!

Hi Jon - sorry if this sounds daft, but I would like to come along and watch the track shenanigans, and drink copious amounts of beer and fall over... I understand this costs nothing (apart from buying said beer), but do I have to book a pitch to camp? Also, if I camp on the friday night, how do I pay?

One more thing, who is the band on the saturday night?

    Cheers, Rob
