    Group Run/Visit to Mx5revive - Saturday 2nd June

     Hello All!

I have been in contact with April and Brian from Mx5revive at Thorney about a group visit to their premises on the 2nd of June.

There are essentially 3 parts to this trip, The Run, The Visit and of course The Lunch! Please feel free to join up and tag along from wherever you are at any point during the day, taking in as much or as little as you like.

This event is open to all comers, I do however, need some idea on numbers, April and Brian have some arranging to do for this, as do the Restaurant, so please reply to the thread, PM me or just let me know by telling me!

The Run: Starting in Norwich (but join in anytime from anywhere) to MX5-Revive will of course be a scenic one! We are looking to take on the fabulous Norwich to Watton Road, then head North West on the A134 through Thetford Forest before joining onto the old ER favourite - Salters Lode via Outwell through to Thorney on the A1122/A47.

The Visit: Mx5revive are the UK’s Premier used MX-5 spares specialists who are based in our region, they are enthusiasts, they are club and forum members, they sponsor a Ma5da racing competitor and they are also National Rally traders! Once described by our very own Roadster Robbie as his “Utopia” they stock parts for most MX-5 and Roadsters on the shelf, ready for sale. Take a look at www.mx5revive.com for full details.

The Lunch: For those with an appetite for a little more driving and lots of food we plan to visit Arbuckles Diner at Downham Market, the famous American restaurant has a reputation for not only being big on flavour but also on portion sizes! The route to Arbuckles will take in the famous Ten Mile Bank, Denver Sluice and Denver Mill. The Table is booked for 13.30 and they can’t wait to make our groups first visit a welcome one! Check out Arbuckles Diner including the menu here: www.arbuckles.biz/

Full route details here for Norwich to Mx5revive: http://g.co/maps/fm2h5

And the route for Mx5revive to Arbuckles: http://g.co/maps/snsc6

Initial meet point and time will be 08.45 at Sainsburys, Longwater, Costessey NR5 0JS

Then at around 10.45 we hope to arrive at Mx5revive, PE6 0PQ

And then finally at 13.30 we hope to be at Arbuckles, PE38 0AD

    Cheers Jamie Smile

Unfortunatly I can't commit to any of this due to being at work in the morning and SCUBA diving in the afternoon. Gutted, I needed another excuse for a trip out to Mx5revive as well!

    Hi Guys,

April and I are looking forward to meeting you all on the 2nd of June. There are lots of new items being listed this week on the website and also on Ebay, user name mx5revive. Don't eat too much on the way, it will spoil the free tea coffee and biscuits!!! We are also hoping to be at the next Kings Lynn meet, so maybe we can meet some of you there beforehand.

    Kind regards,

    Brian. mx5revive.com

Hi Jamie both myself and Andrea will be along most probably picking up with you at downham or meet up at mx5revive. And then tag along for the rest of the run to Arbuckles.  Hope to meet both April and Brian at the next Kings Lynn meet (just remember to leave room for some fish and chips)

Certified 7 years ago but only been a "holiday" diver. Not been away for 3 years so I'm going to Whittlesey a couple of times for a refresher before a holiday in August.

I'll be coming but as I only live about 5 miles from Thorney meeting the rest of you at Norwich probably wouldn't be all that sensible. I'll see you all there then might come for the food afterwards.

Yep, I can confirm, the 2 of us will take part visit, run and food.  We'll pick up the run just west of the Downham Market/A10 roundabout. There a bus stop pull over, well wait there.  Can someone let me know roughly what ETA I should expect.

    Thanks

    Hi Paul,

Can't be super precise but I would think we would be there between 09.45-10.15...

    Great to have you along.
