A change of plan from that published in the recent Solent newsletter - this was meant to be the fish and chip run to Alverstoke, but Richard and Clare (thank you) found out that the f&c shop is shut for 2 weeks including next Wed 
So, we're bringing forward July's evening event .... we'll attempt (weather permitting!) a BBQ on Calshot Beach next Wednesday evening, June 20th.
We will meet at Rownhams Services Westbound M27 (SO16 8AP) from 7:00pm (or before if you're keen!), leaving at 7:15pm to drive straight to Calshot. If you prefer to meet us there then that's fine - go left towards Calshot Spit on the un-named road off the B3053, and look for the car park by the beach huts.
We will supply the BBQs, you just need to bring yourselves, food, drink, chairs (it's a pebbly beach!), warm clothes (!) etc. If you bring chicken, please make sure it's pre-cooked.
Let's hope the current pattern of wind/rain ends and it's a lovely warm evening on Wednesday. However in case not, please check back here on Tuesday evening for any update to the above plan.
