    mk1 mx5 1.6 supercharger kit

so, ive been talking to a few people about supercharging the mx5.. read a bit into it looking at going down the eaton m45 (mini cooper s supercharger)route, and i can source a new m45 for around £700.. however i obviously need the kit to fit it... so i had a look around the net for prices... cant understand what i would be paying around £3,500 for..?! i assume all the mounting brackets are made purely of 24k gold which would make them seriously weak... has anyone actually bought and fitted one of these kits of similar? need some advise really on where to get the kits... reasonable costs.. if anyone has a secondhand kit anywhere... maybe someones got a complete kit hanging around in the garage (with a bit of luck) just thought this would be the right place to ask!! :D

    ALL help appreciated :)

    Re: mk1 mx5 1.6 supercharger kit

I see you're just up the road from me. I'm in portsmouth, with a unit in Winchester that im about to move into.

I'm just putting the last few bits together on a Mk2.5 for a customer at the moment so if you want to come and have a look at that, I can show you around the available options, where to buy them, what to avoid etc.

You can mini charge a mk1 for under £2500 all day long even if you pay a professional like myself to fit the full works with intercooler etc.

Dont scrimp on the engine management either. This will be what makes the setup. Do your research, but i would suggest a megasquirt.
