I've been looking for a new 2.0 Venture coupe in Metropolitan grey and I've been reliably told by my local Mazda dealer that "there are ten in the country". I'm quite prepared to travel for one of these cars (if the price is right) but my question is, how on earth do I find out WHERE these cars are, without having to phone every dealer in the country? My local dealer is tight lipped!

If your local dealer won't help you source one then I'd change the dealer. They can (if they can be bothered) access stock around the country. It never fails to disappoint me how crap the motor trade can be!!

Have you tried the Mazda website and searched for New Cars? Or use the 'contact us' button if there is one.

I can see neither of these options on the Mazda web site (admittedly accessed from my iPhone since I'm away from home). I only see the possibility to find local dealers and to see special deals. 

If anyone can see a general Mazda phone number I could try, please let me know.

Living in Cornwall as I do, Vospers were my first port of call. None of the elusive ten grey Ventures are there!

Unfortunately, Shires Mazda do not list the exact model I'm looking for, which is the 2.0 Venture coupe in Metropolitan grey.

And as I posted above, the dealer search facility is just that, a local dealer search facility. It does not imclude the possibility to locate a specific new car, not as far as I can see anyway.

Well, there were only 100 to start with (and I have one of them ) and when I got mine I was led to believe that they were disappearing fast. 

Got mine from Perry's in Preston - might be worth giving them a call just in case they can source another.

*** STOP PRESS  *** I've just remembered that today at Cars in the Park in Lichfield the Mazda dealer there (I think Chambers Mazda, Tamworth based upon a quick search) had one on their pitch.  Mighht also be worth giving them a call - 01827 318600.  Whether the price will be right is another matter (advertised as being on 'special offer' at £19k I think)

After some re-appraisal, I've decided to get a 1.8 SE coupe instead of the 2.0 Venture. I haven't driven a 1.8 MX 5 but I've no doubt that the power will be more than enough for me. Also, I also prefer the option of 5 gears instead of 6 especially, when I read here that the benefits of the extra gear are not that significant. The better fuel consumption also helps my decision.
