    A BIG thanks

Just to say a big thanks to Jon and all involved in this wekends event.

Just a few pics I took when attending Sunday. Maybe next time I'll try a bit of track driving myself.

And from us as well. We both turned up on Sunday morning not rearly knowing what to expect, and left Sunday afternoon with great big smiles on our faces.

Now, about the dry cleaning bill incurred whilst a passenger with the MoT guys doing a fast track run.....

Great, great day at Blyton today.  some quality track time, good food, interesting cars, the F1 simulator (1 sec quicker than my son...woo hoo!)

Fantastic organisation and effort from everyone who organised it most especially to Jon our Motorsport Co-ordinator

    Can't wait for next year

Fantastic to see all the MX-5's assembled for the record attempt - let's hope we get it

Once again, well done to Jon and all the organisers for this weekends fantastic event. A spectacular gathering of MX5's (should that be a Pride of MX5's)? Hopefully, we'll have the record(s) in the bag.

Great set of photo's Ian/Carol - really caught the days atmosphere.Thumbs up

    Re: A BIG thanks

With a degree of healthy adult trepidation (me, not the fool hardy 13YO) we set off for my first track experience in friday.  Now back home with car snug in garage...  all in one piece.  AND WHAT A WEEKEND!!!  Wow, how is it a cheap little two seater can drive to a track, perform without fault in a manner I only really started to explore after some tuition, and then drive home ready for a daily commute.

An absolutely wonderful weekend, I simply cannot applaud enough all the hard work of Jon & Louise and everyone else involved.  Thanks to Nick for making me faster, to M-m for sorting my mis-matched visor screw (its the small things) and J & L for making it all come together with such polish.  With one bold step the Owners Club has just gained the most important calendar event of the year.

Until next time, Ian & Jack

    Re: A BIG thanks

eHad a fantastic day too! Really really enjoyed it, don't get to spend much time on the forum and having only just put my mk1 on the road it was the first OC meet I've been to! Everyone was really really friendly, was nice to talk to some fellow enthusiasts and will be certain to get to more. Even if the record was broken this year, I hope it happens again next year to as certainly was a fantastic day out!

    Re: A BIG thanks

totally agree well done Jon and his team for a great event, well organised and the deckerdance bus was fantastic,

was spine tingling to see so many mx's going round the track as if in slow motion, as far as you could see were mx's of every shape and colour,

looks like you will have to do it all again next year mate to get the big one. lol

    once again well done

    Pete
