    AA Discount....sorted

I'm posting this here as I can't find the section/forum on members benefits.  I know it's here somewhere but can't find it for the life of me.  Anyway........

I rang the AA, asked if they still offered discount on AA renewal for MX5OC members.  2 minutes later she's knocked me nearly £30 off.

    Bargain.

Edited to add that I've found the original info!!!

It's for renewal.  The renewal note just came through, so I rang them and bingo, 15% discount on the price quoted on the letter.

    Re: AA Discount....sorted

My sister is married to a farmer and they have a secretary for the paper work. A couple of months ago the secretary's AA renewal came through at around £150. She decided she wasn't happy so phoned. the call centre voice immediately dropped it to £100, secretary decided still not good enough. Call voice put her on hold for a minute, checked with someone and came back at £78. Accepted. A month later my sister's renewal came through and the secretary said leave it to me. Same scenario - initial quote dropped to £100, rejected, on hold, check and come back with further reduced offer. Secretary was miffed because it was a couple of quid less than hers. Lesson -  challenge twice.

This is what happens when fine old organisations like AA and RAC are bought out by investment banks who have big bonuses to pay their greedy high flyers.

Gleneagles - we share a birthday. 234,567 miles - only another 5K and she'll have reached the moon.
In the front of the High Mile Club. So far.
