hi all, before i venture out yet again to catch a bit of this sun , in the short time i've owned her i can see a problem, on the saab convertable i have in spain, the boot release is electric and if the roofs left down and key out nothing in the dash works when cars left,so anything of value can be put in the boot, passport, radio front etc ( need to carry passport with a uk reg car if in spain), on this the boot release is obviously a cable and the glove lid locks but shouldnt imagine it's secure from a good yank,so boot can be opened easily ?? the lock on the boot panel doesnt appear to have a lock position just a twist to open jobby is this correct ? or is there a similar idea to a child lock button in the boot, i've not got a manual and cant appear to see any obvious buttons inside the boot, just seems that even with the roof up it aint to much of a job to open the boot,if thats the case im gonna be sat on a chair near the car watching my photography gear like a hawk,or i need another car to follow to chuck the expensive stuff in lol, am i blind or is this simply the case. Ta ... Ian, w/york's

iansmx5:
the lock only appears to turn clockwise, very easily so cant imagine that turning the otherway is seized, dont want to snap a key but will have a "lube" and see, thanks for the answer. cheers, Ian.
Yes, you are right - it's clockwise only. For god's sake don't snap a key!
