    long time coming..........

Hi there. I'm from county Antrim and just after buying a 99 1800 mx5 thats british racing green, and looks completely std with 120k, but running very nicely, and has a nice interior, but has the usual tatty rear arches. I plan to use as a trackcar, and fit a few upgrades along the way, while trying to keep it road legal. Unfortunately am on a tight budget, so will be using as many 2nd hand bits as I can find, so may take quite a while to get there, but should be fun. Will also stop me being tempted to take my rather more delicate rx7 out on track instead......

     Upgrades planned :

    Lowered suspension or coilovers,

stainless exhaust, decat, and 4 branch manifold,

    Induction kit,

either weld up std open diff or source aftermarket 2 way clutchplate lsd,

fit basic rollcage, and make up front and rear strutbraces,

make the car lighter (fit glassfibre wings, bonnet & tailgate, and fit wide arches to hide the original scabby ones),

and removal of softtop and fit hardtop,

I'm sure there's gong to be lots of other bits along the way....
