rear brake calipers

    rear brake calipers

    Hi all has any body purchase new rear brake calipers for a mk1 1.8 off ebay the reason is i have and i can not get a

    descent brake pedal or handbrake my old calipers where better i have read on the forum that they could be Chinese.

    He proved to be very helpful to me. My calipers now work well.

    Have you adjusted the allen key screw on the inside of the calipers, there is a 16 or 17mm nut on the caliper on the inside, take this out and inside is an allen key, with the handbrake off screw in the allen key in fully then release it half a turn and then see if the wheels are locked when the hand brake is put on. All this is easyer done with the car up in the air.

    1991 mark 1 EUNOS 1598 auto in red with black hardtop.(only for the winter) Style bars.
    Area south west midlands.

     you could strip an engine with half a dozen spanners and a couple of screw drivers but those days are long gone
