Past Event - Norfolk Monthly meet - Wheelie spectacular - 17th June

    Hello,

At the next meet at the Countryman (17th June?) I was going to bring a few of my spare wheels to fit on Jude's car in the pub car park so she can have a go at picking what size wheels she'd like. Then I realised that if i borrow a truck I could bring a couple of styles of 15" wheels and a couple of styles of 16" wheels for even more choice.

Then I thought, why not let anyone else who is thinking of changing up to 15" or 16" wheels have a test fit too.

I plan to bring the following: black with a silver rim (15x7 ET40), white multispoke (15x6.5 ET40), smoke chrome multispoke (16x5.5 ET12) and white multispoke (16x6 ET12).

Now, no sneaky test driving as the tyres are dangerous at best and probably illegal, especially if only fitted to one side of your car, but if you want to know how your car would look with slightly bigger wheels then post below.

    Muppet.

Dunno about hot city nights, I suppose my wheel thing might be clashing with something planned, in which case I'll cancel. Don't want to hijack a club thing as I'm not a member.

I have it on ice at the moment, the Norfolk meet had a run last month (great job Jude and Dave), we also have a run this weekend, so I have been busy doing that.

The Wheelie thing could be a good laugh!

I will try and remember to bring some toolsWink

I don't  think it is  just an Eastern Region  thing - Where are the  Hot  city nights, full stop, 11deg C at the  moment and raining.

    Wheels might be interesting?

Well, I've borrowed a massive barge of a car to drag a load of wheels down to the pub, so I guess this will be going ahead.

Let's all hope it doesn't rain...

Rain will be a proble, but it is looking good at the moment.

I think once we get the ball rolling this will be a giggle, i will bring Torque wrench etc, but any small mazda spare jacks are always good.

What a great idea!  I thought you had forgotten about this conversation Dave (how very dare me, doubt your word!!)  I'm really looking forward to trying out new wheels...almost sounds like shoe shopping for my car!!! Fantastic!  Pleased to know you are bringing the torque things, I will just remember to bring the car! Smile  I love our club!  See you later Wink

    Hi Jude

Look for the Camouflaged-Learning Volvo estate - it'll be full of wheels and fresh (ie knackered) from the Nurburgring.

I do have some bad news though - I only have one white 15" wheel to try now as the other has no tyre on it following an incident at Norfolk Arena (the tyre exploded damaging my rear wing, passenger door and hardtop).

Also if anyone want to try them I have some spare 30mm wide spacers which I'll try to remember to sling in the car with the wheels...
