     Hi Tania (Miss Montana)

Thanks for your kind message I am so glad you were brave enough to come along, you did really well, it is not easy being on your own and driving on the other side of the road and so glad you enjoyed the day, really brings home what our guys did in the first world war and what they fought for.

Looking forward to seeing you soon

Take care and thanks for coming along.

    Best Wishes

    Re: Ypres

(Posted the following in another forum (?) but as this tread covered the same subject, have stuck it here too!)

I wanted to say that a huge thank you to Paul and Sarah for organising a great day. You packed so much in and made an appreciated effort to try and cater for everyone. This was my first outing with the MX5OC and didn't know what to expect. it quickly became apparent that everybody was very friendly and approachable, and loved their cars at least as much as i do! Paul even arranged for brilliant sunny weather!

It was great to meet everybody, and myself and my mate Alan had a good laugh waving and honking at everybody in response to the truck horns and smiles we got at our viking hats! I was particularly impressed with the sight of a town long traffic jam made up entirely of MX5's!

For the non-believers among the group, i am pleased to announce that my Belgian chocolates survived the trip and the heat intact! And we didn't get lost, we just managed to slip onto the earlier train home. We had a longer trip to make than some, so raced the sun back to Blighty. Now i have an excuse to polish the 5 again, and scrape all the flies of the windscreen!

Many thanks again to all, and good luck to Sarah (mazda chick) with her job interviews,

    Darren

must add my thanks to paul and sarah, you guys did a fine job all day long, (you gotta learn to stop worrying over everybody sarah Big Smile), jan enjoyed herself, meeting old and new faces.

Glad to say our little 5 held up well despite the worry of the immobiliser playing up, i was dreading it not starting on the train, trouble is i now have a cracked radiator so i suppose we were lucky to get home really, looking forward to the next outing, archery , i think, thanks again sarah and paul,

     Hi Everyone

Had a great day - not as tiring as we thought it would be - but started to fade about 8.30pm on Sunday after watching outdoor Shakespear production at local pub (well perhaps it was the wine)!!!!

Many thanks to Paul for leading us all, coming back to find those that had taken the wrong turn and for providing the information packs and to Sarah for worrying about us all.  Also it was really great to meet some of the Flanders Club members, who made us all so welcome.

We thought Belgium drivers were a lot more considerate than those round our home town, particularly when we think we might have got the priority wrong at the odd junction.Embarrassed

See you all when we get back from Bath!

hi gary, sorry haven't got back to you before, we only got back from a week camping in devon last night. i ordered a used rad from autolink before we went away, just spent the morning fitting it, not too sure if it's okay, there seems to be a lot of steam rising up from somewhere, fitting it while it's chucking it down doesn't help i suppose. i shall have to keep an eye on it for a few days. hope you and anne are okay, see you at the next meet i expect
