MOT day. I was dreading it but she past with just two advisories including corrosion on front discs. Changed these two years so not overly happy about this. Then took her a blast down to Barry Island. Topless all the way home, blustery but super fun. Just the way it should be in a 5!

Come to think of it, the guy in the office that gave me his tonneau cover is trying to scrap his automatic Mk1 import so I might just ask him if I can remove the four fateners that I need.
Alternatively, I could just sell the tonneau cover and buy a Mk 2 version!

Looks like the Woolies ones are best value so I may well go for these. I can sell on the ones I don't need.

Well the cover was free and is in excellent condition and that is why I suggested changing the fittings. If I was buying one I would get one specifically for my Mk 2.5 hence my desire to change fittings. It looks like the tonneau cover that I have engages with the car via a short thin rod rather than a popper. Would this sort of thing be ...

I have a tonneau cover from a mk 1 which I want to convert for my mk 2.5. Does anyone know where I can get the large press studs for fitting the cover to the sides of the seatbelt tower and side of car. I can't see any on ebay that look large enough.

I have recently acquired a tonneau cover. I have tried fitting it but it seems very fiddly and takes an age. Is there a particular way of fitting it that is quick and will encourage me to use it?

You will need to get one that mounts onto the seatbelt towers. MX5 Parts sell them and they come up on ebay too.

I have recently bought a S/H OEM winblocker with speakers at each end. I would have gone for the KH51's but couldn't get them when I needed them (sorry NickD). Still, I got the T1R's for a good price (£150 for 4 plus £15 delivery) and they were fitted after my wheels were refurbished.
