I kept the packet that mine came in and as there were other part umbers on there that looked more like a "ford" number.
Both packed have the following numbers on them:
Printed on the packet: "One YL8Z-17603-AA Washer Jet"
More likely is this one which is a sticker on packet: YL8U 17B602 AA 1x 4097642
Try those numbers ...

Hi Ian, I appreciate your experience. I used to work for a car hifi fitter and covers were used on all types of speakers wherever they may get moisture ingress irrespective of the kind of cone. You'd be surprised how many speakers i've removed that have stopped working because of water ingress. Coaxial speakers with "simple onboard ...

These are what I fitted to mine 6 months back, and they are a really good buy & fit. Can I just add one thing to your excelent guide?
I'd suggest making some sort of "drip cover" for the back of the speaker as you can't use the ones that are fitted to the original ones (well you can, but they aren't deep enough and ...

If their staff have transferred to Mansfield or Barnsley then I'll tolerate the travel, but I guess they are now working for Hyundai! ...

Yes, this caused me to have to consider going to Mansfield or Barnsley for parts today
I spoke to Mazda UK, as they still show GK Sheffield on their website, and they said they would be altering their site, but anticipated there would be "another South Yorkshire franchise in due course". So I guess we watch this space!

Glad you have got this sorted
Mine seems to have developed this, but only when turning swiftly left at the national speed limit. It sounds like you describe, and definitely doesn't sound like metal on metal. It's almost a rubbery knocking. Initial visual checks under the car suggest all is "ok". However it feels twitchy at ...

Sorry to resurrect this, but did you get to the bottom of the DDDDDD?

Of all the MX5 interiors, it's a bit of a marmite one. You either love it or hate it!
Good job I like ours, but i do know a lot of folk who don't!
