Just aquired R reg Mk2 1.8 auto. The speedo when doing 60 mph by my sat nav and by my brain reads 85, 70 is 100 and so on.
The dial itself has MPH written on it and goes up to 150mph.
Is this the wrong dial??? Should I be using a dial that goes to 120mph, I have seen some on the net.

Chrism,
You do not say which area you are in but if you go along to your local monthly meeting I am sure you will find someone who has the workshop manual on disk that they can lend you / burn you a copy (a drink is about the going rate).

The first port of call for a flat battery should be RAC Homestart. They won't mess you around and just fit a new one. Although the indy garage was cheaper :) It's incredible how many people still go to KF.

I have just spoken to one of the young lads in the office, his car had a flat battery this morning so he had to get his mum to give him a lift. At lunch time he had one of his co-workers give him a lift home with a set of jump leads and they started the car. As neither of them knows much about cars (both know loads about PC's) they decided to ...

If you intend covering it at some point in the future but are having to wait for any reason (weather / finances / stock) you could just rub the binicle down with a bit of wet & dry to take e shine off.
A bit cheep skate I know but if you are covering it anyway what have you got to loose.
