  • NC - Replacing Single Disc "Non-Sport" Stereo with "Sport" Bose Changer Unit

Hi folks, Time to use the collective hive mind for this one... I've managed to acquire a Bose headunit from an NC Sport in the hope that I can use it to upgrade the single-disc unit that came as standard with my NC Ikon. I've fitted it, but whilst the radio seems to work okay the CD mode and my X-Car Link really aren't happy. I ...

  • Re: Recommended hose clamps for silicone?

[quote user="TonyRama"] [quote user="peleton72"] I recommend DPHSPORT on eBay, they sell T-bolts that I've replaced every clamp and clip with as they're so good. They're cheap(ish), look good, quality and don't pinch. Better than jubulee clips as they have a bolt to tighten rather than a screwdriver slot that ...

  • Re: Recommended hose clamps for silicone?

A friend of mine used Mikelor on the silicone hoses in his Yaris. They work well and don't "pinch" in the way of standard Jubilee clips. You cen get them from "proper" tuning/race prep places* or e-bay. Hope that helps, Alan *Not Halfords...

  • Re: Roof down driving music

"Dooh Dooh" by Bazpitchers is going to get me in trouble one of these days, Matt Monro less so... I don't know about you, but I always find that the only Cheryl Cole/Bob the Builder/Hear'say track in the whole compilation/playlist (and how did it get in there?) is fated to play when you're stopped at traffic lights in a ...

Yeah, my Mk3 is the same and you just can't do what it says/shows in the manual. Its annoyed me for months before I discovered you could do this... Which is what I tried to explain last night. Hth, Alan

Weird, does it just pull up and to the right behind the lower tang towards the back of the car? That's not very clear, I'll just take a photo in the morning... A

That's for the feedback everyone! I love the blue, the only trouble is that my sister's 57-plate RC Sport is the same! (I bought first...) A

  • Yep, its a new member...

Hi, As one of the new folk that signed up at the Classic Motor Show I really thought that it was about time I started contributing to/benefiting from the forum. I've had my MX5 since June, when I traded in the "temporary purchase" Fiat Panda 100HP that I bought whilst I worked out what to do / saved money to replace my ...
