    So,  In a spate of madness, or stupidity not sure, I have aquired a mk1 H reg 1.6 auto (with turbo conversion!) - this is all the info i have on it currently... Other than a missing door it also has an automatic gearbox that slips, so I'm considering my options.  One of them is to replace the automatic gearbox with one of those ...

    It's very likley there is air in the master cylinder (the systems been dry for 6 - 8 weeks). Can I "bleed" the master cylinder or any suggestions on how to "shift" the sir block?? J

    Hi, No ABS on the car, it's just brakes as they use to be :) The calipers are all new and so therefore the bleed nipples are too.  I've removed the nipple and done the rag thing, i get spitting of fluid but not enough quantity of fluid to enable bleeding. I'm of the mind that insufficient fluid is being pushed through, almost ...

    Thanks for the reply. It's a two button remote, i'll get a pic tomorrow and get it on the blog. For some reason i object to paying them £10 for a manual that I beleive they should supply for free as a download, like almost everyone else. But if all else fails...
