Not sure I would want to advertise there could be a sat nav in car by leaving cable's & mounts on show? You can get a twin 12 volt socket adapter if that helps. I run my Garmin through one of these as the 12 volt plug sticks out too far & I hit my hand on it when changing into fifth gear

Plenty of stopping power from EBC greenstuff pads :-) you do get a lot of brake dust from them though (you can't have your cake & eat it!!). Not sure what the plugs are or where they go to with out physically inspecting them myself but in my opinion you have two options which are :-
1: Use a multi meter & trace all the wiring looms & repair/reconnect everything.
2: Sounds like you have power etc in all the right places so I would be tempted to run new speaker cables direct to ...

With regard's to your head unit instead of the removal tool you are using (its very easy for these to be slotted inside the spring clips pushing them outwards preventing removal rather than slotting in correctly to the outside pressing plates in thus allowing unit to slide out) try 2 small screwdrivers in the bottom hole & 4th hole up.
