Replying to my own question, here: I've managed to set the clock manually. There was no apparent way to 'sync' with the GPS. Is this normal? I assumed the time was set automatically.

New problem. After 8 months working fine, today my unit stopped displaying the current time! It just shows _ _ | _ _ on each page. I've updated the software without success. GPS seems fine (all routes/times start from 12:00).  Audio system seems OK, too. Anyone have any ideas?

Just for information, I bought a cable from Ebay for just £3.09. It works until you switch the unit off. On re-starting, the Ipod cable has to be disconnected and reconnected to get Ipod showing again. Message: Don't go TOO cheap! I'm off to buy the Amazon one...

I hope we can get some concensus about the best music playing system - Ipod? USB drive? CD with MP3s? old 78s? Please keep the group informed.   Steve

I hope I can jump in with a question here, regarding use of my Ipod in my Venture. I bought a cheap Ipod connection cable (Ebay) for about £3. The problem is that the Ipod isn't recognised when I re-start the engine. I have to unplug and re-plug the Ipod each time to get it 'seen' by the Sanyo unit. Do the official cables work ...
