perfect for camping, not so good if you are in a hotel and have to take your beers out into the street, where apparently is illegal to be outside with alcohol after 10.00pm, which the nice man at the hotel did remind us about several times...

I dont think you can do the entire exact route, you have to convert into lots of waypoints, and then it can become a tomtom itinery file, but not all tomtoms support those files however, the cheaper ones dont. Tyre is a good place to start, as I've used it for creating trips and uploading but not sure that will do an exact road by road ...
