To check for DTC on the ABS system on MX-5 turn ignition switch to off, bridge the TBS and GND terminals in the DIAGNOSTIC socket under the bonnet, turn the igniton switch to on and count the groups of flashes on the ABS lamp. You can tow with a Mk1. You cannot legally tow with any other mark.

Its one of those £25 kits of ebay(so we'll see how long it lasts). It took 5 hours to fit from scratching head to locking doors.

If you can't just pull your brake disc off the hub, after removing the brake calliper, first try tapping the disc from behind with a soft faced mallet. Had done a few
thousand Km then felt the lever go "too far" over when selecting 5th.
