     Thanks Wayne, got that will look at getting one. I do have one of those trickle chargers, I used it fairly regularly before I moved adn the car was in the garage. Problem I have now is I dotn have a garage, and nowhere to plug it into

    Ok, RAC came out this afternoon. I had charged the battery over the weekend, and put that back on, but still no go.   Anyway, he stuck his battery booster on and got me to turn it over...and over and over and over. Dont think I have ever let a car turn over on its starter for so long. I thoguht it cant be good for anything... But anyway, ...

    Well, I took the plugs out, and there is a spark coming from them... I dont know how "big" the spark should be, but it was there. The battery is now on charge as I have managed to half flatten it messing about. Ive jsut found out that I have home start breakdown cover, so will give them a ring on Sunday and see if they can at least ...

    Had my mk1 import for almost 7 years now. Has never let me down until last night when I needed it. Key in ignition, sounded for a split second like it was going to start as normal, but then it decided jsut to turn over and not fire. It sounds "differnt" when it turns over now, I cant explain why.
