This month's STHT contains two pieces of blatantly contradictory advice on jacking the rear of an MX5.
Page 41 says, a couple of paragraphs down the second column, "(you) should avoid jacking the car up by its differential".

Bloody hell! What's happened there?! I go off on holiday for a week, thinking I'll order a regulator from that Ebay seller when I get back ... and now that I'm home, the price has jumped from less than £70 to £200! Sod that for a lark. :-(

Thanks, AT - didn't think about trying a dealer! Will pop up the road to my local one when I have the door card off to replace the window regulator.
