Can you give the distances (in cms) between the centre of the wheel and the edge of the wheel arch for all four wheels? Measuring from the top of the wheel can introduce errors. It also enables you to judge whether one corner is too high or too low. You can find the normal ride heights by searching this forum.

You can fit a passenger seat cover to a driver's seat. It leaves a couple of holes on the inside edge, which can easily be patched and a few wrinkles. Sounds more of a problem than it is, because holes and wrinkles are hidden by the centre console.

Apologies if I am insulting your intelligence.....the "shims" you need are called spigot rings and are available for about £15 from dealers on eBay.

I had this problem and fixed it by using this method. Use a powerfile to grind away the wishbone so you can chisel away the remains of the metal which held the nut captive. Pleased about that. I'd noticed the gauge, but only noticed the brakelight thing when my car was on a lift, with the wheel clamped to the pedals. I had a go at the mechanic for leaving the ignition on - he waved the keys in my face!

Make up a cardboard template using the other side as a pattern. Add flanges to each side, so that there is plenty of metal to weld in.

I've had new clutches fitted in a Peugeot 405, Spitfire and Astra (oh joy! 45 min job!) and in every case, the new clutch was significantly lighter. I can see no obvious reason for this, except that the disengagement is an "over centre" action whose angles are gradually changed as the clutch wears.

I would be concerned about the plastic - exposed for a long time to hot oil, it may form a goo that can get into oilways.
No idea if this will work, but may be worth a try. You have the end of the tube still attached to the pump - find a large screw or bolt that will just screw into the inside of the tube. Fasten this to your dipstick ...
