 just out of interest, during the  2-5 run were there any years that stand out as being more prone to the chassis rail rusting problem than others, i.e batch runs etc.

thinking of putting new tyres all round, looked at the rainsports, and best ive found are with  F1  at £200 complete fitted, anyone know of any better  ?  thanks

 hi plank, i fitted a dual larini to my 2-5  NB some five years ago, at first it was a bit raspy ? but after a few weeks settled down to just a background hum on minor and  motorways, untill you put foot down, then it will give a nice quality bark, then again settling down to a hum. best bit though, is driving though built up areas ...

 i asked for info on the same question a coupe of years ago, but got nothing back, so i would be interested in any answers as well.
