Well it seems that there are no copper red hardtops out there. Would consider black. Looking to change clamp brackets and side panels and Frankenstein bolts from fitted car for parts from my non fitted car. Prepared to talk around £500. Needs to be within striking distance of Tyne & wear. PM me if you are interested.

I agree that a light smear will prevent seizure but so much that it's spinning out on wheel rotation.
Coppaslip on brake discs not healthy methinks.

When I first got my mk3 it was due a service. I took it to Hodgesons Mazda silver link Wallsend. All seemed fine when I got it back then after a few hundred miles I noticed black spots around the wheel rims. When I took one wheel off there was a load of copaslip between the alloy wheel and the hub. ...

Cash waiting for a copper red hardtop with fitting kit within striking distance of Tyne & Wear. OK long shot I know but worth a shot. Looking likely to loose my garage next year and I don't want to leave it out in the winter weather with only a soft top although I am sure many do.

I have noticed that there is a spate of electric hardtops on eBay presumably fro car breakers.
As far as I am aware they cannot be fitted to soft top cars because the body panels are widely different. I wonder who buys the these as I presume that there would be little reason to change parts if you already had an electric hard top.

Hard to say without seeing the car but it seems well overpriced.
As others have said it will not return the best mpg and will be hard to move on. Still if it's in top nick, it's what you need and you plan to keep it for some time have a look and go for a viewing.
It amazes me how many people are afraid of haggling. Keep it friendly ...

Bit of advice please.
Need to renew rear pads. Disc outer face looks in very good order little wear so hoping to get away with pads. Looking at the pads on mx5 parts only the genuine Mazda pads appear to come with a fitting kit which includes the shims etc. What's others experience can you reuse the old parts or is it worth paying the ...
