OK, I'll try again. Why is the Black Tiger Seal better than silicone? The Black Tiger doesn't seem to come in transparent so I'm a bit worried it might look a bit shoddy.

Thanks, I hadn't heard of that stuff. Would that be better than silicone sealant?

It's plastic. The problem is that the rear panel has had the PVC windows replaced on the inside after the old one was cut out. That leaves a little ledge around the bottom of the window where water can sit and seep in. I was thinking of trying a little transparent silicone along there to try and seal it up.

Thanks Sam. It's the original vinyl hood so I don't think anything is coming straight through but you never know. Here's the photo.
Edit: Actually it's on the front beam aswell so it can't be coming through the hood - must be condensation.

This morning my car was quite steamed up and the inside of the hood was covered with black beads of water. It happened once before a few weeks ago too. I replaced my rear screen recently but it leaks a little onto the parcel shelf so I'm guessing that's why the car is steaming up when the conditions are right but what I really don't ...

If you don't\mind me asking where did you have it done? I'm in Bristol too and looking for someone to replace my rear screen. The only hood place I've heard of in Bristol is Awesome Imports.

Just bought one of these (previously cut to size for the MX5) and am after some advice on how to fit it. Do you just use self tapping screws straight into the bumper or do you drill holes in the bumper and screw into some blocks of wood?

I'm afriad they're aren't any independant MX5 specialists in Bristol, so I'd go with whatever garage you feel you can trust. If you're ever in Kent I'd reccomend Freelance Mazda though. I took mine there to have its cambelt done shortly after I bought it. The guy who runs it ...
