Someone queueing to turn towards Hartley Witney, with the roof down at 5pm or so today. Good lad.  Anyone here?

  • Idle drop & stalling when cold

Hi, In the recent cold weather, when my engine is cold, I'm finding that at idle, the revs will drop very low, and very often the revs just drop to 0 and I need to restart the car. This can happen when in neutral or when I've got the cluch depressed when in gear. I find I need to keep the throttle on in order to keep the engine ...

  • Re: Undersealing?

If you're planning on keeping your 5 for a long time, and you use it in winter, then it's definitely worth doing. I had the rusty sills on my Mk2.5 sorted, then the car undersealed by a family friend who owns a bodyshop: http://www.aquilaarc.co.uk/contact.html Ian did a great job cutting back old rust & ...

  • Re: Uprated 2.5 Sport Pads?

They're definitely the bigger brakes - I've replaced the discs and pads before.

  • Uprated 2.5 Sport Pads?

Hi, I'm due to replace pads & discs soon and wondered what the options are for uprated pads on a mk2.5 Sport. I've head excellent reviews of Axxis Ultimates, but I can't find them for the 2.5 Sport brakes. Anyone know if they're available? Failing that, what other uprated pads are out there that will fit the Sport ...

  • How to remove oil-based paint from canvas roof?

Some scrotes have flicked thick oil-based canvass paint onto my canvass roof. I've managed to scrape the "dollops" off, but it's ingrained into the canvass. Anyone got an idea as to the best product to remove it? I was thinking white spirit, but not sure if that'd just spread it around and/or remove the ...

  • Re: RUSTY SILLS ON CAR

I've just had my very rusty sills on my 2003 Mk2.5 repaired by a company called Aquila, located near Wokingham. The guy there, Ian, did an excellent job. New sills were fabricated and welded in, and then paint matched to the car. The sills now look perfect again, and the repair is invisible. Cost was £300 all-in for ...

  • Dunlop SP Sport Maxx RT

Not much info on here about the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx RT. I got a set for my Mk2.5 Sport. I have to say - they're absolutely brilliant in the wet. There is a very definite improvement in Wet grip compared to the Toyo T1-Rs that I had on before. Previously in the Toyos, a wet roundabout would mean understeer if you turned sharply - but ...

  • Re: RUSTY SILLS ON CAR

Purps, how much did they charge for sorting the sills?

  • Re: MP62 Install and tuning/set up in the South East

Probably the best and most experienced in the country for MP62 installs will be Phil at Performance5 in Middlesex
