i didn't bother as i live on the bradford side of leeds so it was nearly a 60 mile round trip. i took it there after my 1st year of ownership before m.o.t to make sure everything was in order

just make sure all the bits you started with are still on the car when it comes back, took mine for a service. had a brand new k&n panel filter in with silly warning stickers plastered over the airbox. they changed it for a cheap paper one, only found out a month or so later when i was investagating a loose airbox.

changed all hoses and coolant to see if it cures my idle problem, thought may have been an air leak. there wasn't it's made the problem even worse back to drawing board, i really hope it's not the isc valve, can't afford to be spending much more as i've found out i'm gonna be a dad so the car will have to go in ...

does anyone have any idea or has taken readings ? average or max.
seen some silicone hoses on the bay but they seem to be heat rated a lot less than the others on the market, 235deg c as opposed to 450. pressure ratings the same so i assume they will be ok but not last as long ? don't wanna waste my money any help would be great

i don't think your the only one, mine stinks if left for more than a week, everything seems fine so i've not even bothered to find out why

i cleaned the body when it first started happening, as this cured it last year, but this time round its just made it worse i'm going to replace some hoses that look a bit past it and see what that does,
does the brake switch work on the same principal as the clutch switch or does it just make the lights come on ? i can be driving along ...

sounds a bit silly but are the seals seated correctly on top of your quarter light glass ? mine had ridden up and although everything looked fine they were letting water into the footwells as it was running down the window and inside the door,
if they are the easiest thing is to take door card off, stick hand inside door skin locate the ...

i've had the switch apart today and it was intact but a little dirty so cleaned the contacts and lubed the spring hopefully this will cure it, the rubber pad fell apart so i'm trying to locate one now

i'm at the point of throwing a match at the car and walking away.
my idle's gone funny again but only when coming to an abrupt stop or from high speed depressing both brake and clutch.
pso far i've changed cas o ring set timing back to 10 reset base idle and serviced it this month and now it's playing up again. to be fair ...
