Prior to buying my 5 i test drove a few.
One in particular was mazdaspeed...........ed up , if there is such a word. Anyway, mazdaspeed adjustable suspension, lowered and 17 inch mazdaspeed wheels.
So asuming the wheels were top quality i can only guess they were possible of the correct or exceptable weight.

Go for a mk1.
Even then its rather dificult. I had to look at many. The issues for mk1 s as im sure you know, arch/cill rust can be spoted easier than the mk2 problems.

dont let the lack replies deflate you. Its a good show although the last coupe of yers have seen seriously bad rain so people may wait until the week to decide. Just go along. Paignton green has a good show too, only one 5 last year.
