 From F1 armchair supporters to true petrol-heads the MX5-OC has something for you. From track and car control days with our Motorsport partner Mazda on Track to following the action trackside at Ma5da Racing please pop over to the Motorsport pages of the forum here for more. Getting Track-side: From the various track-based events at National and Spring rallies, to parade laps and complimentary entry to Ma5da Racing races, to walking through an open paddock chatting with MX5 race drivers. Come rain or shine, there’s something in the Club for you. All MX5-OC Motorsport-related events can be found here. From track preparation to local circuit advice, the Club has a strong and active Motorsport following with a wealth of advice on hand for those wanting to ‘have a go’. Track preparation: If you are planning a car modification – whether for road, track or combined use – chances are one of us has ‘been there, done that’. Alongside our Motorsport Partner, Mazda on Track, the MX5-OC aims to deliver a safe, friendly, informal introduction to the more spirited driving allowed by trackdays. As well as a good introduction to just how great these two-seat cars handle, a track or car control day will enable the driver to experience first-hand their own, as well as the car’s abilities. If you have never driven on a track before the idea may seem daunting. With coaching (and even the opportunity to drive a fully race-prepared car under instruction) Mazda on Track can help you find your feet. Even if you don’t fancy committing to putting your pride-and-joy onto hallowed tarmac, why not come along to an event anyway, there are always plenty of people who will happily give you a passenger lap in their own car, the Club can even lend you a helmet...just to whet your appetite! WARNING: Trackdays can be addictive!!!
