Welcome to Motorsports The season has started and so have we. The first official event of the year, Brands Hatch, has been and gone. Some later events are now confirmed and now booking, so don't delay! 1st April - Brands HatchThe first event at Brands Hatch was a great success for those who made the trip. It ended up being an open pit lane (i.e. as much track time as you like) event with about a dozen MX5s, several MGs from MGs on Track and a sprinkling of other participants, including a couple of racing pickup trucks! Everyone was very well behaved though, and the combination of a lovely evening and a quiet track made for plenty of opportunity to discover or extend track skills. Some of the participants were first time on track and certainly found it an exciting experience! Others had a little experience and enjoyed extending it whilst the track enthusiasts had plenty of opportunity to enjoy one of the classic UK racing circuits. The only disappointment was that we couldn't fill the event with MX5s, so whether you haven't yet tried a track day and like the idea of driving on track or are experienced and want more, do book up for one of our later events. Our annual visit to the sprint track at Curborough is always popular and books up quickly. The short sprint track is fun and takes some concentration to get right. We also have the ability to change the layout during the day, so we can add some variation for an extra challenge.
June 9th - Le Mans 2008
Official MX-5 Owners Club event to the Le Mans 24 hour race, departing on Monday 9th June and returning Monday 16th June, camping at Blue Nord, with hopefully in the region of 20 MX-5's and support cars.

16th August - Croft circuit
Now fully booked. Please email Ian (see below) to go on the reserve list.
Although originally based on an airfield, utilising runways and perimeter roads, Croft is a challenging, high speed circuit with a variety of fast, medium and slow corners, but with modern run off areas to increase its friendliness. In North Yorkshire, this is an ideal track for members based in the north of the country.
22nd November - Oulton Park circuit
Widely acknowledged as the most picturesque circuit in the country, Oulton Park is recognised as much for its surroundings as the spectacular racing that takes place on its hallowed tarmac. Voted the best UK circuit by British Superbike fans in 2007, Oulton Park features rapidly changing gradients and blind crests, and presents a supreme challenge to drivers.
